We woke up to a new and exciting day in sunny Mumbai. The morning and afternoon was fully planned with company visits at Suzlon and Reliance Insurance (one of SAS institutes customers). As we discovered on our first day in the city the traffic in Mumbai is an adventure and is in itself an experience, but we got to our first company visit of the day fast and safely J Suzlon was located in Mumbai´s business area, with many huge office buildings. We were all very impressed and surprised; because this was definitely not the India we had heard about prior to our visit (which by the way should totally be put to shame, because this was not the India we experienced at all).
At Suzlon as well Reliance Insurance we were met with great hospitality. They were very welcoming and talked about their jobs and companies with great pride. It was very inspiring.
After the visit at Reliance Insurance Sabrina took us to the gateway of India and showed us around in the southern part of Mumbai. She gave us a lot of information on where to eat and shop. After a wonderful Indian dinner we went scarf shopping in one of Mumbai´s streets. We quickly learned that Inga, was a skilled purchaser with an amazing talent for barging with the locals.
This was a good day in the incredible India!
